NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.teradata.tdgss.jtdgss.TdgssManager

Problem

The installation of the Teradata database driver via Datameer UI under tab Administration is not successful.

Error message

org.springmodules.validation.util.condition.ConditionException: Could not validate object using validation method 'validateConnection' 
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException 
...
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.teradata.tdgss.jtdgss.TdgssManager

Cause

This indicates a problem with tdgssconfig.jar. There should be two jar files for this driver terajdbc4.jar and tdgssconfig.jar.
