When you are creating User Roles and Groups within Datameer (not using LDAP or Kerberos), there are some naming best practices to keep in mind.
User and Role Naming
If you are considering using LDAP, Kerberos, or secured impersonation in the future, make sure user and role names fit the parameters for those tools to avoid problems with upgrades:
- Make sure names don't have invalid characters, such a special characters or spaces.
- User and role names should be 32 characters or fewer.
- Avoid user or role names with leading digits, such as
123test.
