Permissions Error When the User Tries to Run an Export Job for a Shared Workbook

Problem

When a user tries to run an export job based on shared artifacts, the following error is thrown:

User '<userid>' has no permissions to read '/Path/to/Workbook/Workbook_Filename.wbk'.

Cause

Export jobs use the data of a workbook. If sharing is only configured for View/Edit/Run on the workbook, this error will be encountered because this only grants access to the workbook artifact itself, not the resulting data artifacts.

Solution

Share the Full Results to the group the user in question belongs to.

1. Click on the workbook in question to open the Inspector pane on the right side.
2. Click on the Sharing tab.
3. Scroll down to the Full Results section.
4. Type in the group and add an entry for the group.
5. Click the View Full Results checkbox.
