Converting string format to Date format

Hi there,

I am learning datameer. I have a date column in string format.

dob_column

5/Dec/1985

10/Jan/1990

I want to convert the dob_column to date format in datameer(worksheet).

I am trying this function =ASDATE(#dob;"dd/MMM/yyyy") in formula bar, but gives error

Hi Jee,

I created a test csv with your dates and got it to work by changing your double quotes "" to single quotes ''.

ASDATE(#DOB;'dd/MMM/yyyy')

It works ASDATE(#personal_Details_txt!dob;"dd/MMM/yyyy")
