Flip Sheet Histogram

    Jee,

If you have a date stored as a string, then use ASDATE to convert it to a real date, the flip-sheet functionality incorrectly shows December in the X-Axis for the Distribution histogram detail chart.

So the example is create a list of dates in a file upload csv, import them as a STRING.  Then, in the workbook use ASDATE to convert them to a real date.  Next, click the Flip Sheet button and click on the graph for the distribution.  In releases before 6.1.20 it will say December on the X axis regardless of what the actual data is.

I am not sure if the result is correct or not. Is this the way how it works? But, In X axis, it still shows Dec.. .  Could you direct me to any video tutorial about datameer Histogram?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jee,

That result does not look correct to me.  I have reviewed DAP-31672 and while the Fixedin states 6.1.20, the Final QA was done on 6.1.21.  I've asked product management for clarification if this Fixedin label is correct.  I'll post back here once I hear back from them.

    Thanks Alan. Moreover,

My source data in workbook(after converting String to date using ASDATE) is as below:

    Feb 10, 1975 12:00:00 AM

    Oct 7, 1970 12:00:00 AM

    Jan 5, 1985 12:00:00 AM

In the FlipSheet(Mouseover), for the First and Third rows, it shows time in EST format,

but for the Second row, it shows in EDT format.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jee,

This is expected behavior since Feb and Jan are EST months, while October is an EDT month.

    Jee,

I confirmed with product management that this fix for flip sheet did not make it into 6.1.20.  It is in 6.1.21.  Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.  The documentation will be corrected.
