Are there any published performance benchmarks when User runs query for Data Discovery/ Data Profiling using Datameer? How is typically performance benchmark measured for products like Datameer for Data Discovery or Data Profiling?

  Hi Sweekruth, there are not published performance benchmarks from Datameer for Data Discovery or Data Profiling components. As far as I'm aware, there are not any standard performance benchmarks that are used for products like Datameer for Data Discovery or Data Profiling.

  @Joel Stewart. Thanks Joel. I was expecting so. So I guess I have to talk to someone who has access to Datameer's case studies.

  I've been doing some perfomance research just for the small set of Workbooks our group has been developing over the last six months.  While we've been explicitly told that there are no Performance Guarantees with the DataMeer application, I was curious to compare runtimes using our custom Datameer Workbooks vs straight SQL-type queries using the Aginity Workbench for Hadoop tool.  The results are both small in scale and testing but would seem to indicate a fairly significant overhead associated with Datameer in generating apples-to-apples results directly from the Hadoop DB.  I plan to pass along my research to the appropriate parties soon for potential investigation.  If anyone would like to review my testing, feel free to reach out to me directly.
