Splitting a Column

Hello,

I am an analyst in Datameer and my role is to cleanse the data for further analysts to work on.

We have a data set which a column consists of an array of attributes - applicable to an entity of a device (machine)

I've attempted the "Split Column" functionality.

The challenge is the same attribute - for example - "workstation"; will go into separate columns.

My goal is to enable the unique attributes to be the column header so a single column would only return the same attribute.

Do you have any tips and tricks to offer me in cleaning this column in a "structured" way please?

  Hello Anson.

  Based on the provided source data, may I ask you to create a mock-up of the result you are looking for (you could create it e.g. in Excel)? It makes it easier to suggest the right approach.

  I would need the exact appearance of the source data, e.g. 5 records, and the result you need to get for these 5 records. From the sample, you provided it is not clear where the Hostname column is incoming from, as it is absent at the initial sample (the 1st screenshot you've shared).
  
  I already have some transformation steps in mind, but I need to know how exactly the source data looks like.
